Freedom of speech stops before the hand that feeds you
You will notice that all references to my employer are now solely “my employer” or “my company”.
It seems my employer, like many other companies, is registered at Monitoring SA or a similar place. The people at Marketing get an email every morning with a list of new web pages that contain certain keywords, obviously including my employer’s name.
It seems my blogs weren’t flattering enough 
Maybe I ranted too much about the brainless Afrikaans songs in the previous posts. Anyway, I was politely asked to remove my blog posts. I’m not going to remove the posts themselves, but I removed all direct references to my employer.
Let me just reiterate that I was asked politely and there wasn’t a bad attitude from them. I understand that they have to monitor the web and can’t let their employees write just anything about the company.
Of course, non-employees can say what they want. Go ashr! But I’ll have to moderate comments here as well!
